Included are old-time songs, ballads from England and America, and hymns and spirituals. The interview includes discussions about Tate's mother's farm, liquor, other musicians, ballad singing, banjos, square dances, collectors, books, and family members. Tate narrates legends of a panther in the wilderness and a ghost story.
